Loving People
A big part of Loving People here at ACC starts with generosity to the people in our community.
We practice that on regular basis through Dollar Club and quarterly generosity projects.
Dollar Club
Every week we count everyone that attends and we give that amount away. For instance, if 400 people join us for services on Sunday, we give away $400. We invite everyone who attends to participate in this gift by giving $1 for every person in their family that joins us. Sometimes we give Dollar Club to a family in the church, sometimes it is a family in the community and sometimes it gets to go around the world. Many times Dollar Club is nominated by someone in the church who has a neighbor or friend going through a difficult time.
Quarterly Generosity Projects
Every quarter we want to go above and beyond our normal practice. In the past, we’ve helped a single mom coming out of homelessness and human trafficking purchase a new car, we’ve blessed families in foster care, we’ve raised food for the Huffman Food Bank, and we’ve given playground equipment to local elementary schools.
